Divorce and separation is a traumatic experience for all parties concerned especially where children are involved. We consider it important that sound advice is given at an early stage in order to prevent the situation deteriorating further. We pride ourselves on providing a sympathetic and pragmatic approach to this trying situation.

Issues concerning the children can prove to be very difficult to resolve. The welfare of the children is, however, the Court's prime concern in any proceedings. We have a range of mediation providers who may be able to assist you in resolving issues in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere rather than allowing matters to escalate and proceed to Court. It is our aim to resolve all disputes in as friendly and amicable a manner as possible as we often find that, if the parties can be persuaded to take stock and reconsider their respective positions, a more satisfactory outcome can be achieved It is better to resolve things by consent rather than by the Court imposing its will upon the parties.

Where appropriate we are able to undertake this work with legal aid funding subject to the financial eligibility of the parties.
